NEW PEDICURE CLIENTS

Appointment Policy with Trina Russell

PLEASE READ THIS INFORMATION COMPLETELY BEFORE REQUESTING AN APPOINTMENT

Due to increased demand and limited appointment availability, a deposit or payment in full is required to secure your appointment. The deposit is non-refundable and may only be moved one time for a reschedule. Appointment reschedules on the same day will forfeit the deposit. The following applies: 1 service requires 48 hours’ notice service and 3 days for a double-booked service. While emergencies happen, this policy will remain in effect.

I specialize in providing individualized pedicure services, including services for clients with challenging toenails. Because every client's needs are different, new pedicure clients are asked to review the following information before scheduling.

My services are cosmetic nail services and are performed within the scope of practice of a licensed nail professional. Certain conditions may require evaluation or treatment by a medical professional before I can safely provide a pedicure.

Scheduling & Payment

After your service has been determined, an invoice will be emailed to you. Payment must be received by the due date for the appointment to be confirmed.

If you are unsure which service you need, please send clear photos of your toenails and/or feet to thenailshacksalon@gmail.com before scheduling.

Deposits for specialty services and appointments are non-refundable. Specialty appointments require two weeks' notice for your appointment to be rescheduled one time, and the payment will be transferred to the rescheduled appointment. For cancellations outside of this, the deposit will be forfeited.

Before Your Appointment

For the health and safety of all clients, I follow applicable Indiana sanitation, disinfection, and safety requirements.

There are certain conditions that may prevent me from safely performing a pedicure. Please contact me before making a payment if you currently have:

  • Active athlete's foot or another suspected contagious skin condition

  • Blister-like areas or unusual changes to the skin of the feet

  • Warts on the feet or legs

  • Open sores, wounds, or broken skin on the feet or legs

  • Signs of an active infection, including drainage, pus, significant redness, swelling, or other concerning symptoms

If a condition appears to be outside the scope of cosmetic nail services, I may ask you to obtain appropriate medical evaluation before scheduling or receiving a service. Service total will still be collected if services cannot be rendered.

Athlete's Foot, Warts, Wounds & Infections

If you have signs of athlete's foot, please contact me before scheduling. I can provide information about appropriate over-the-counter foot-care products available through the salon; however, persistent or concerning symptoms should be evaluated by a healthcare professional.

If you have a wart, open wound, active infection, drainage, or other condition that makes a pedicure unsafe, the service will need to be postponed until the area has resolved or you have received appropriate medical care.

Please do not submit a deposit until we have determined that I can safely perform your service. Please send pictures of your toenails and feet before accepting the service.

Gel Polish

Please let me know before your appointment if you currently have gel polish on your toenails.

Removal requires additional appointment time. If gel removal is not included in your scheduled service, you may need to have it removed before arriving or schedule the appropriate removal service. This information allows me to determine the appropriate service and reserve enough time for your appointment.

When necessary, I may recommend that you consult a physician or other qualified healthcare professional before I perform a cosmetic nail service.

Calluses & Skin Concerns

Localized calluses can often be addressed as part of an appropriate pedicure service. However, widespread thickened, peeling, irritated, cracked, or otherwise abnormal-looking skin may require additional evaluation before a pedicure is performed.

If you are unsure, please email a clear photo of the affected area to thenailshacksalon@gmail.com before booking. This helps me determine whether I can safely provide the service.

Terms & Conditions

Deposits and payments are not refunded for cancellations, missed appointments, late arrivals that cannot be accommodated, or conditions that were not disclosed before the appointment and prevent the service from being safely performed.

Arrival

Please arrive approximately 15 minutes before your scheduled appointment to allow time for any personal needs and appointment preparation.

Arriving more than 15 minutes after your scheduled appointment time may be considered a no-show if there is not enough time remaining to safely complete your service. A new appointment and payment may be required.

Questions Before Booking

If you have unusual, difficult, thick, curved, impacted, or otherwise concerning toenails and aren't sure which service to schedule, please contact me before booking.

You may email photos to thenailshacksalon@gmail.com or call 317-563-1242.

I want to make sure the appropriate amount of time is reserved and that the service can be performed safely and within my professional scope of practice.

Best Wishes,

Trina Russell
