My Personal Experience: Why This Work Matters to Me
My passion for specialty toenail care comes from personal experience.
Many years ago, before receiving my specialized training, I had both of my big toenails removed.
I often tell my clients:
"If I had known 30 years ago what I know today, I might have had cosmetic care options that could have helped me preserve my natural toenails."
That experience is one of the reasons I am so passionate about helping others.
I understand firsthand how frustrating and emotional toenail concerns can be. My personal journey has motivated me to continue learning, educating others, and helping clients feel more confident about their feet.
While not every toenail can be preserved through cosmetic care, I believe clients deserve to understand their options and know when medical evaluation may be necessary.
Specialized Training & Education
With 30 years of experience in the nail industry, I believe continuing education is essential to providing knowledgeable, individualized services.
I have received specialized training from Lori Halloway of The Meticulous Manicurist and earned certifications in nail and toenail care.
This education has expanded my knowledge of specialized cosmetic techniques for clients with thickened toenails, impacted nails, and other difficult-to-manage nail concerns.
I am passionate about sharing that knowledge with my clients, helping them better understand their nails and the cosmetic care options available to them.

As someone who lives with diabetes, I understand the importance of foot health, proper sanitation, and safe nail care on a personal level.
I recognize that individuals with diabetes and other health conditions may require additional precautions when receiving nail services.
Your safety, comfort, and individual needs are priorities at The Nail Shack. I take pride in maintaining a clean environment, practicing appropriate sanitation procedures, and providing personalized attention during every service.
I also believe in educating clients about their nails and recognizing when a concern should be evaluated by a medical professional.
